A LEXICON WORTH KNOWING

Even as an automotive jouralist, there are times when I’m confused by some automotive terms and technology.

I’ve improved my grasp of this subject since receiving a copy of the Road & Track Illustrated Automotive Dictionary by John Dinkel. As the name implies, this volume is set up like a word dictionary, but with enough illustrations (about 437 of them) that it’s instructional to look at as well as it is to read.

Most people should easily understand the definitions even if they know little about automobiles in general. It’s a useful addition to any car lover’s library. -Glen Konorowski
