Home BMW Repair BMW X5 (E53) Service Manual: 2000-2006

Tim Saunders reviews the BMW X5 Service Manual

There are few books about the BMW X5 E53 (the first generation model) and so Bentley Publishers in the US were always going to be on to a winner when they published one.

Theirs is an extensive hardback service manual covering absolutely every aspect of the popular luxury SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle), that was launched in 1999 and was in production until 2006.

Retailing at around £84 ($129.95) and available through the publisher's website www.bentleypublishers.com this title covers all aspects of the vehicle including the different engine sizes ranging from 3-litre to 4.8i and all the variations in electrics. For instance, the driver's seat on the 3.0i is electrically operated but on the other models both front seats are electrically adjustable.

A useful book for owners and professional mechanics, this publication will prove an invaluable addition to any book shelf.
