Windows 95: The Volkswagen Electronic Manual Runs Very Slowly.

Some Windows 95 users may need to update their Microsoft Winsock library for the Volkswagen Electronic Manual to perform correctly. We have included this Microsoft Winsock2 update on the disc.

  1. Browse the CD-ROM and locate a folder named Winsock2. Double-click the file named W95ws2setup.exe. This is Microsoft's Winsock update for Windows 95. It will only update the necessary components if it detects that your system requires the update.

  2. If an update was required, please restart your computer and try running the Volkswagen Electronic Manual again. The program should run much faster now. If not, please consult the other technical support documents dealing with slow performance on Windows.
