In 1886, Robert Bosch founded what he called his “Workshop for Precision and Electrical Engineering” in Stuttgart, Germany.

1887-The first Bosch "low voltage magneto ignition" for stationary gas engines is developed.

1892-"High voltage magneto ignition" which aids the development of high-speed gasoline engines

1927-Bosch diesel fuel injection pumps lead to the eventual production of high-speed diesel engines.

Robert Bosch has long since retired from the daily business of his company, yet still plays a major part in its fate. In his later years, he devoted himself to future-oriented charitable efforts.

1978-Introduces the anti-locking braking system (ABS) to the vehicle world

1987-Bosch traction control system (ASR) introduced

1996-Electronic Stability Program (ESP) safety system
